What This Blog is About

Hi everyone!  I am a student at the American College of Healthcare Sciences.  I am pursuing my Certificate in Aromatherapy which will prepare me to take the test to become a Registered Aromatherapist with the Aromatherapy Registration Council.  This blog will be about essential oils.

I am a Christian

I believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, dead and buried, and rose again on the third day to offer salvation to the world.   This blog is not about Christianity, but you need to know that my beliefs will fuel some of the things that I write.  Like the fact that I believe that God gave us every plant and animal on this planet for our benefit.  If we use those resources wisely it will be for our good.  If we abuse those resources, then it is to our detriment.

I Subscribe to the libertarian mindset

Yes, I meant to put a lower case ‘l.’  I do not belong to the Libertarian party, but I do believe in liberty.  As with my Christianity, you need to know that some of the things that I write will come from this mindset.  I believe that we should all have the right to choose what we do with our body and our health and that the government should stay out of it.

I am a Memaw

I have four beautiful grandchildren and I want to make sure that they will have a wonderful world to inherit someday.  I may share anecdotes about them and maybe even pictures (if their parents agree).  Family is another thing that fuels my life and they will sometimes show up in my blogs.

I am a Student

Like I said at the beginning of this post…I am a student of essential oils.  I do not belong to a Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM) company and I will not peddle my wares to you.  If you’re interested, I believe you’ll contact me.  I am in the process of learning all that I can so that I can help people pursue a healthy body through the use of Complimentary Alternative Medicine.  I do not know it all, but I do know how to find answers.

Part-time

FYI…I have a life outside of Aromatherapy.  I have been married for 26 years, I have four grown and married children, I volunteer, I work, I play bass drum in a bagpipe band, I quilt, I ride motorcycles, I have friends, etc….  Each one of these things takes time and I may not post a new blog each week.  I will try, but if I’m being honest, I’ll most likely fail at some point.  Be patient.
